Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 9

Yes, I know, it's not Wednesday.  I have thoughts for things to write but never give myself the time and opportunity to get it down.

I'm tired.  So tired.

Weight is about the same. It hasn't gone up, which is nice. But hasn't gone down.  Not surprising though.

Goals:

Posting:  I have the intent and desire but it's still not happening.

Tracking:  Sometimes, vaguely.  It's like I'm either spot on doing good or horrible beyond belief.

Exercise:  Not really.  At least, not as much as I would like.  I'm still doing basic things but need to get into gear more.

Hopefully after the first of the year my life will slow down a bit and I can complete a coherent thought.  :-)

Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 8

Hot 100 Update 8:

Goal 1: Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here.

I'm still here which is "something".  Being accountable for ME, means posting more than once or twice a week.  I'm doing this challenge to HELP me be more accountable and achieve success.  I have not made any progress this week.  I'm still up a bit but basically holding my own.  I'm not happy "holding my own" though.  Some days are awesome, some just "okay" and others less than stellar.

Goal 2: Food Tracking & Planning

Still basically off and on. Today I tracked and did okay. BUT. I didn't plan my meals, not all of them. I changed my goal here to read Food Tracking & Planning.  Food tracking isn't happening here without a plan.

Goal 3: Get moving regularly

Yes and no. Mostly no.  I'm still doing some weights and small exercises but the treadmill is getting a bit dusty again. No real excuses, ankle has been fine.

This time of year is the busiest for me. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. I tend to procrastinate a bit throughout the year and now at the end of November, it's crunch time. So my already busy beyond belief life is now getting more busy.  I know that I still have plenty of time for meal planning, tracking and exercise. So no excuses!

I"m also going to weigh officially in on the first of the month I think.  I still hop on the scale daily so no denial going on and I still plan on reporting progress on Wednesdays (accountability you know) but I think I'm going to make it official monthly.  We'll see.

Snow

4 days ago, my kids were outside wearing shorts and a tshirt.  It was in the high 60's, sunny and gorgeous!  We've had a wonderful fall here in Minnesota and I really can't complain a bit.  Our tree in the back yard drops it's leaves late season, so we JUST got done with the clean up yesterday.  Blew off the roof, bagged the leaves, mulched some leaves and hauled it away.

Tomorrow I am supposed to wake up to up to 10 inches of snow.

Not even a transition with some cold. Nope. Just goes from fall to winter like THAT!

Sigh.

My kids are ecstatic.  The more the better they say!  They are all set for a Saturday full of snowmen, sledding and snowballs.  All I see is shoveling, ice and wet dripping clothes.

So I think we're planning to just hunker down for the day and watch the snow fly.  Maybe put some soup in the crockpot or something.

I've ignored the scale all week.  I've stayed focused and haven't indulged in too many stupid things.  We won't talk about the 2 oreos that may or may not have shoved themselves into my mouth.  They were stupid red winter ones that the husband bought.  Oreos are NOT supposed to be red!

Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 7

Can I just have a do-over for this week?  Please?!  I really need one.

I'm not going to bore you with the mundane details of how cruddy this week has been for me and how much unnecessary food I have consumed.  It's just stupid.  I feel gross and I am just mad.

Hopefully mad enough to get back on track.  I was doing so well and then WHAM!  Life kicked in.  Well, "life" isn't going away so we're starting anew.

I'm also not weighing in this week.  Combination of the cruddy week PLUS my scale needs a new battery. I woke up this morning to a bit E error on the scale.  I thought maybe it was trying to tell me something.  I was seriously waiting for the message from the scale "Do you really want to know?"

I don't.  As of Monday I was a couple of pounds up.  Let's hope to getting control of that this week.

Hot 100 Update

Goal 1: Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here.

Not really, I'm still posting but I really just want to crawl in a hole this week.  There is no hole big enough for my big butt so here I sit.  :-)

Goal 2: Food Tracking

Not really.  I didn't track how many handfuls of pecans I ate while watching The Biggest Loser.  That was dinner. Yes, I am cringing as I'm thinking of that.

Goal 3: Get moving regularly:

Not too bad.  Not as regular as I would like but I'm not ignoring it.

Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 6

Bad, bad on the posting this week.  It's busy around here, but it shouldn't be any busier than normal. I just don't know where the time goes!

Weight is staying pretty much the same. Funny, I have really good days, then I have some bad days.  Consistency is still an issue.  The good days are outnumbering the bad but I know I need consistency to get results.

Weight is pretty much the same, I lost .2.  Could be worse. Especially after the salty chinese food I ate on Saturday.  I could FEEL the salt in me.  It was good though but not something that I can indulge in any more.  I make awesome asian food here so I need to stick with that!!  In fact, I made a fantastic general tso's chicken just last night.  Healthy, delicious and way lower calorie and sodium.  I'll be posting the recipe for it in a couple weeks on my recipe blog.

Hot 100 Update

Goal 1: Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here.

Not as much and as thorough as I would like.  I end up only getting time to stop and think after the kids go to bed and by then my head is full of marshmallows and I lose that ability to say anything coherent or inspiring.

Goal 2: Food Tracking

It's kinda all or nothing here.  The last few days have been very well, I've been tracking and coming in very good calories wise.  Then there are the days at when I just don't pay attention at all. I do a quick count at the end of the day, trying to remember everything I snacked on and realize that it's just way too many calories.  Really, can I seriously expect to come in under 1400 calories by accident and not tracking? It just doesn't happen.  So while it's been better, consistency is still an issue.

Goal 3: Get moving regularly:

Better ...and worse.  Better at being consistent with my mild weight training, pushups and some exercises.  Not so much with the treadmill.  I went on it once this week but that's it.  I have a small window of time when my kids are doing school (homeschool) and most of the kids are napping when I need to get on the treadmill.  I end up spending that time catching up on emails, writing up recipe posts or prepping for dinner.  There is always SOMETHING but I need to take the time.  I just wish I could chop veggies or something while on the treadmill. I'm not good at just doing ONE thing!

Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 5

Well, broke free of the 240's.  Again.  Barely. Everytime I do, I swear it will be the last time.  I really, really need this to be the last time!!  Today was 239.6.

The ankle swelled a bit and there was some limping after the 3rd time on the treadmill.  No pain, but it wasn't happy. So I didn't go on today.  I'll try it again tomorrow.

Sorry, actually posting this on Thursday, so tomorrow actually means today.  Ya, I'm confused to, I never know what day it is.

Hot 10 Update

Goal 1: Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here.

Continuing to do well.  I so don't want to be one of those people who just fall off the face of the blogging earth.  So sad when that happens!

Goal 2: Food Tracking

Better.  Not completely consistent but better.

Goal 3: Get moving regularly:

I've been on the treadmill regularly.  I'm aiming for 4-5 days a week on  it.  Plus I'm doing some pushups and weights and have been regular at it.  Yea!

Weigh in Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 4

Fun size butterfingers aren't really fun.  Not fun at all.

I didn't gain, but I didn't really focus too well so this weigh loss doesn't really count.  At least not to me.

You see, I vowed I would NEVER see 240 again.  So, yes, a slight weight loss, but still over 240.

Today was 240.4.  *sigh*

Red Lobster has endless shrimp.  Yes, endless.  They have it once a year and we splurge and go every year. I don't WANT to go this year. I hate the way I feel after, plus it's expensive!!  Don't tell me to eat sensible because IF I go, I so won't eat sensible.  Well, not entirely true.  I will give the potato to the son and I'll get broccoli. But I'm quite sure I will eat way, and I mean way, too much shrimp.

If we go.

I'm still trying to fight it.  The husband and the shrimp loving son really, really want to go.  Yes, I theoretically could just send them but I won't.  I'm hoping that Sunday will come around and all will just conveniently forget.  I even hid the coupons that were placed on my desk as a "reminder".

*****Would you like help cooking this years holiday meal?  Tricia from Once a Month Mom just came out with an incredible Holiday eCookbook.  She tells you what to do, how to do it easily and she even had the shopping list done for you!  She has it on sale for a fantastic price until November 1st so hurry and get yours! You can get a 40% discount with the code OAMM40 after you've put it on your cart.  I already bought it and LOVE it! Click the big link in the upper left hand corner of my blog to check it out!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hot 100 Update 4
4 weeks.  Sadly, I feel like it's been a wasted 4 weeks.  Actually, I feel like it's been a wasted 2 years.  That's how long I've been stuck. I made it down to 217.4 and then just stopped.  And slowly creeped up.  I'm so done creeping up but I'm still stuck.  So stupid.
So onto my goals.
Goal 1: Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here.
Still posting.  Once again, it helps to post, even on days that I don't feel inspired to do anything but whine.  Everything I type is a reminder though.  Commenting and encouraging others is a reminder for me.  It helps.
Goal 2:  Food Tracking
No silly, I certainly didn't track the fun size butterfingers. That would be silly. Uh, actually, that would have been really helpful. Then I would have realized the stupidity of eating 500 calories worth of candy for NO reason and then eating a super small dinner and going to bed hungry.
Goal 3:  Get moving:
This one I need to put a post it note on my computer monitor or something.  I need to find some sort of regular exercise.  Besides typing and cleaning up after 12 children.  (I only had 12 today, usually it's just 9).  Exhausting as that is, it's not going to build muscle in my flabby, sagging skin.
Thank you to Steve again from Logmyloss.com who started the Hot 100.  He mentioned that we don't necessarily need to achieve our goals, we just need to stay accountable to them and continue writing about them.  It is so easy to set goals and then just sweep them under the rug and never pull them out again. Steve is asking us to keep them out and fresh in our minds every week.  This is good. It's what I need. It's what a lot of us need. So thank you!!
Excuses
Doesn't there always seem to be an excuse?
"I couldn't resist!"
"It was a party, I'm supposed to have fun!"
"I'm too busy all day, I don't have time to track my food"
"I'm too stressed out, grabbing a burger out is just easier"
"I got a promotion, I deserve a splurge!"
"I'm too tired by the end of the day to exercise."
Seriously?  The list could go on and on.
We make choices all the time.  Decisions throughout the entire day.  What to wear in the morning?  Whether or not to bring the umbrella to work.  Which road to take to avoid traffic.  Do I flirt with the waiter at Starbucks today?  What TV show to watch in the evening.
Decisions and choices throughout the entire day.  Most of which aren't too difficult.  We make these choices because they are a part of our every day life.
Food is also a choice.  Not only what we eat but how much and when we are going to eat it.  It's simple.
At least it should be simple.  But clearly in a country with so many overweight people, it is not a simple choice.
We find ourselves deciding to eat something that we KNOW we shouldn't and that we didn't originally plan.
You need to choose what to wear to work. The blue business suit or the pink spandex pants and fluffy green sweatshirt.  The pink spandex pants and fluffy green sweatshirt are WAY more comfortable than the blue business suit but you know that you shouldn't wear them to the office. You make the wise decision to choose the business suit.
So why do we choose to eat the burger and fries from a drive through window when we could go home and have a turkey sandwich?  Why do we choose to make cupcakes rather than eat the apples?
It's often the excuses that get in the way.
You wouldn't show up to work in the fluffy green sweatshirt and start making excuses to your boss would you?  (though your co-workers might get a kick out of it!)
I have been making excuses my whole life.  I still am, every day. Some excuses are valid, most not valid.  Many excuses that I THINK are valid, but when it comes right down to it, they aren't.
Stop. Making. Excuses.
Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 3
It's funny. I love to cheer people at their successes, attempt to pick them up when they are down, but don't listen to a word of the advice I give.
Not. A. Word.
I wake up with hope and resolve that I will do better. But then I don't.
It will happen.  At some point, it will come back. Just hopefully soon.
This morning I was at a whopping 141.1.  Seriously heading the wrong way here people. Worse, I can FEEL it.  I can see it in my face, feel it in my clothes. Ugh.  I hate it, it needs to change.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hot 100 Update 3

Goal 1: Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here.

Posting semi regular.  I'm snacking like crazy and eating way too big of portions so it's more embarrassing to post. But it would be way more detrimental if I just continued eating in denial.
Goal 2:  Food Tracking:

Not a bit.  I'll wake up, eat a 1/2 banana, then some egg beaters with salsa and write it down. That's as far as I get.  The handful of fruit loops, the couple of ham slices, few cheese and crackers, 3 - 4 pretzels just don't make the list.  Then portioning lettuce and dressing goes out the window which means I end up putting twice the dressing on my salads. Then by the time dinner comes, I just don't care and I eat what I want.  3 helpings of baked beans tonight.  3 helpings, people!  They were good but I do didn't need it.

Goal 3:  Get moving:

Uh, I think I am typing faster?  Does that count as exercise?

Weigh In Wednesday & Hot 100 Update 2

Gain from last week, loss from Monday.  Sorry, I'm posting this really quick.  I was at 238.2 this morning.  I so meant to write something earlier to post but didn't and now it's super late, just got home and I HAVE to get the kids to bed!

Know that I am kicking myself in the butt for eating so bad this weekend and have been doing better!  Gosh, kicking my own butt would be some awesome exercise, wouldn't it?  :-)

Hot 100 Update:

Goals for the Hot 100:

Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here. My original goal was to post daily but that just isn't happening. Way too busy and half the time I don't have much inspirational stuff to say. I will continue to weigh in on Wednesdays and try to post other days as well.

I'm still here posting. I haven't given up, or thought about it.  Honestly, if I stop blogging, that means complete meltdown and major weight gain or I'm SO successful and busy that I don't need blogging anymore. Ya right. I don't see THAT happening so I will still post.  And be accountable.

Food Tracking: This is super essential for me to lose weight and maintain control. If I leave it to change, I stop caring. I lost 100 lbs. from tracking daily. It worked. Then I stopped. Now, 20 lbs. later, I NEED to get back into it. I've been whining about it forever but I just need to stick with it. I'm very hit or miss about it. It needs to become a priority again.

Nope, not a thing. Snacking like crazy and just eating awful. How's that for honesty!

Get moving: I hate exercise. I've made that clear on other posts. Plus I have ankle issues to prevent me from hopping around and running, BUT, there are still plenty I can do. I need to start doing it. Regularly.

Every so slightly better than before.  Nothing really breaking a sweat and nothing regular.  Gotta work on that!

Weigh in Wednesday & Hot 100 Update

Well, if there was an award for maintaining, that would be me.  I'm up .1 lbs.  So obviously nothing significant.

Goals for the Hot 100:

Posting: I want to post regularly on the dieting blog here. My original goal was to post daily but that just isn't happening. Way too busy and half the time I don't have much inspirational stuff to say. I will continue to weigh in on Wednesdays and try to post other days as well.

I have been posting more, of course, my GOAL is to be posting my meals, that is what really helps, however, just being accountable to the blog helps a lot.  While I didn't lose weight this week, I did make better choices than I would have.

Nope to the food tracking.  I would start in the morning and then by the afternoon, I'd be eating random things for lunch and then trying to scramble to figure out roughly how many calories I ate.  Yes, I'm busy but this HAS to be a priority for me. It is the only way I have been successful in the past!

Get moving: I hate exercise. I've made that clear on other posts. Plus I have ankle issues to prevent me from hopping around and running, BUT, there are still plenty I can do. I need to start doing it. Regularly.

Nope to the moving.  At least not anything extra. I do daycare so I AM moving throughout the day but I want to be doing a regular exercise routine. I've actually never had a regular exercise routine. I have a WII fit that I need to get on daily.  I used to, now I "claim" not to have the time.

So while I may not have fulfilled my goals, I still feel pumped and motivated.  I wouldn't be even writing post after post if I didn't.  I've been blogging this blog for the entire summer without weight loss success but yet I still do it.  Somethings got to change.

Wednesday Weigh In

So this morning pretty much went as expected.  Not much of a change, I didn't expect to lose. Not with the fair, 2 desserts and 1 night out to dinner.

I've been eating well the last couple of days.  Cutting out desserts.  That HAS to go!

I haven't been tracking on paper.  I'm keeping track in my head but that's not the same.  It's too easy to forget or go into denial when you do that.  At least it is for me.

So I'm have my notebook here and ready to go for tomorrow. Hopefully I'll use it!!

Operation Rehydration!

So, yesterday we went to the Minnesota State Fair day! I didn't do TOO bad.  If it wasn't for the chocolate chip cookies and the ginormous bucket of fries my husband got, I would have been fine. We got a lot of stuff but I basically just took a bite of everything. Or two.  But then I ate like 8 cookies.  That was dinner!!

We went to the Weird Al concert at the fair! You can read about our Weird Al day here on my other blog.   I think I will do a food recap with pictures on my other blog this weekend.  It was fun to take pictures of everything we ate!

I am super dehydrated though!  I didn't drink NEAT enough at the fair so it's operation rehydration today and tomorrow!!

I weighed myself before the fair and wasn't pleased. I didn't think I did THAT bad but there was a gain. 2 lbs.  Huh??  Well, I'm the same AFTER the fair which is good!!

Today's eats:

Pizza egg bagel = 200 calories
Cheese pizza = 550 calorie
Smiley Fries = 150 calories
Vitatop = 100 calories
2 Turkey wraps = 430 calories
2 Tootsie rolls = 60 calories

Total = 1490 calories

I shouldn't have been munching on fries!!  Really, after the fair fries, I didn't even enjoy these!  I had 12 kids here yesterday and pizza and fries was the quickest and easiest thing to make and I ended up eating leftovers. Grrr.

Weigh In Wednesday Week 14

Well, we have a 1.4 loss today. I'll take it!!  At least we're heading in the right direction and my focus is still good and I've been having very good days with eating.

I need to start exercising though...

Today's eats

1/2 banana = 60 calories
Pizza Egg Bagel = 200 calories
Taco Twist Bake = 450 caliories
Salad = 200 calories
Hamburger = 380 calories
French fries = 150 calories
Corn on the cob = 60 calories

Total calories = 1500 calories

The hamburger I ate for dinner was HUGE, it was 330 calories just for the meat (Costco sirloin burger) so I ate it with no bun but some ketchup and bbq sauce.  I should have skipped the fries but I so love them!!  I would have much rather had the fries than the stupid bun for the hamburger though!!

Weigh in Wednesday, er Thursday

Yesterday was just a whirl wind of a day. I woke up late and it just never stopped after that. I didn't even think to weigh myself yesterday morning. I thought of it around 10 but by then I had had 3 glasses of water and breakfast!  I wasn't about to step on the scale.

So I got on today. Guess what?  NOTHING!  Same as last week.  Could have been worse.  I ate okay last week but not great so I really didn't expect to lose anything major.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Check out Charlie from Back To The Fridge.  He's driving a weight loss train and he wants as many people on board!!  First read this post.  Then read this.  Or just read the whole stinking blog, it's awesome!  He wants everyone to take a picture of themselves with a card saying your name and "I'm On Board" and send it to him.  It's like a little contract with yourself to stay ON the train and not get off.  The train ain't stopping people!!  GET ON BOARD NOW!
Today I ate:
Salsa Egg Bagel = 180 calories
Yogurt = 80 calories
Salad = 95 calories
1/2 banana = 60 calories
Lean Cuisine meal = 330 calories
3/4 of a vitatop = 75 calories
Sicilian Meatloaf = 300 calories
6 Zucchini Fritters = 450 calories (YIKES)
2 bites of ice cream = 50 calories
Total calories = 1620 calories
I bombed on the zucchini fritters. I mean to only have 3 of them but they were so darned tasty and I was so hungry!!  They were actually super healthy but the calories add up!  If I stick to my 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 DIET, I can succeed!  It's just sticking with it that is the problem!!  Grrr.
I seriously thought about that train a lot today!  Thanks Charlie!
Weigh In: August 11th
Weigh in Wednesday.
I actually almost forgot this morning.  But, there it was.  The scale.  Chuckling as I tried to leave the bathroom.
"Just where do you think you're going?!"
"Uh, sorry. I forgot."
"Not a chance chickie, jump on!"
So I did.  I wasn't expecting miraculous results. My eating has just been OKAY this week. It showed a gain of .8.  After last weeks loss, I'm okay with that.
Today's eating was just OKAY too.  Frozen pizza.  Grr.  It would be better if the husband and kids ate it all. It's the leftover crusts and pieces that call to me!!  So I ate some.  Then some leftover peach slaw from last night.
I drank more.  Still not enough for some reason, but more.
Weigh In: August 4 Summer 15 Challenge
Isn't salt amazing??  I wrote about this last week how I was absolutely amazed at what salt can do to the body. I've seen where I will eat out or get pizza over the weekend and Monday morning have "gained" 2 -3 lbs. in salt.  That's why I don't weigh in on Mondays.
Well, the weekend we were out of town we ate out a lot. I didn't necessarily gorge myself but we ate out.  McDonalds, Subway, a buffet, and pizza.  Then I did eat a individual size bag of chips every day while at the hotel. Oh - AND I was having my period.
Anyways, I came home Monday, fat and bloated, jumped on the scale and was 249.
WHAT???!!!
That was 11 lbs. gained in 5 days.  I was 238 the previous Wednesday.  Can you imagine how horrified I was to see an 11 lbs. + weight gain in 5 days!!  I KNEW that a lot of it was salt and water but how much?  I knew I overate but I kept thinking, "I didn't eat THAT much, did I?" By my next Wednesday weigh in, it was better. Not gone, but better. Now, the water and salt is gone. Plus I've been tracking calories and eating good.
I came in today at 236 even. *sigh of relief*  Back on track. For now.
So next week is all me. No salt and water to whine about. I am completely avoiding the restaurants. Not picking up pizza.  None of that.
I think I mentioned that I was in a new challenge for August? The End Of The Summer Challenge.  I started that challenge on August 1st at 237.6.  The salt and everything bad was completely out of me by then so it was the PERFECT time to pick up on the challenge!!
I did good today. It was busy so I didn't track my food as I was eating it but I came out okay. Not super but okay. I need to plan and track though, otherwise I DON'T stay on track.
Weigh In: July 28 Summer 15 Challenge
I didn't post yesterday. I had a super bad migraine all day and just felt horrible and went to bed early.  I ate about 1400 calories yesterday.
So my weight is going the wrong way.  Totally the wrong way.  I gained 4.6 lbs.  Bad as that number is, it was almost twice that a few days ago. I've already lost a lot of the water weight from this weekend and I'm HOPING that there is a couple of more lbs. in there yet to go away. My feet and legs are still swollen.
It's funny, I never had SUCH an issue with salt and water gain before.  At least it wasn't noticed.  If I eat out once, I notice it the next day. A bit.  We ate out a LOT this last weekend, plus I ate a 260 ish calorie bag of chips every day plus completely unhealthy hotel breakfast every day. I came on Monday looking like you could just pop me I was so puffy!  I've never seen such dramatic results from this before.  Does anyone else have this issue?
So I've been drinking water like crazy and it's starting to come back to normal. Not that gaining 4.6 lbs. in a week is normal by any degree.
The only good thing about seeing such horrible scale numbers is that it keeps me focused. But what happens next week?  Do I go back to my "snacking" ways?  God, I hope not!
I've seen several different kinds of weight loss blogs. I've seen the ones that people are super pumped about losing weight and then all of a sudden.  Nothing.  Then I've seen the ones where you see a steady decline in weight and they are doing SO WELL. I so wanted to be that blog.  I still have the hopes of being that blog.
What I refuse to be is the blog that just STOPS.  That would have disasterous results.  So I am determined to keep posting even if you all see me go back up to 300 lbs.  (Please come over and shake me silly if you see THAT happen).
__________________________________________________
Wrote that above this morning, now off to bed.
So today went well. Still snacked a bit more than necessary. I ate about 1600 calories and drank about 5 gallons of water and peed every 5 minutes. My feet and legs are still swollen more than normal but not as bad as yesterday.
Weigh In: July 21 Summer 15 Challenge
I knew today wasn't going to be pretty. Not nice at all. I'm so heading the wrong direction.  Not that I'm surprised.  I haven't been focusing at all. Sure, I've been busy. Actually, I've been crazy beyond belief busy and that is highly unusual.  Still no excuse.
Today was horrible. Two words. Amusement Park & McDonald's.  Okay, that was more than 2 words but you get the drift.  I ate enough sodium to last the entire month.
I am reading a book.  A weight loss book. I'm going to finish it and let you know what it is and how awesome it is soon.  He's talking about how every Monday was a "new Day 1" for the diet and how by the end of the week it would result in failure.  Until the Monday and the new "Day 1".  That's what I keep doing.  I'm yoyo-ing the same 5 lbs. and it's getting annoying.
Sigh.
I'm going to be gone until Sunday night. We're going to an awesome convention and will hopefully come home refreshed and ready to start.  Again.  I am packing good food for the convention and we're not planning to eat out except for one night of pizza.  (I'll be good).
So for the Summer 15 challenge, I'm at 238.2 which is a  4.2 lb. gain I believe?  No way am I going to make the 15 lbs. by September 7th but I am still going on and going to track my numbers!!!  I won't give up.
Weigh In: July 14 - Summer 15 Challenge
Weigh in Wednesday.  Oh, the evil scale. How I dread thee...
Despite my continuous snacking throughout the week, I did manage to lost 1.8 lbs. this week.  That's what it's telling me so we're going with it.  Never mind that I had to blow my nose, shave my legs, clip my toenails and spit into the sink before achieving that number.
The summer 15 challenge isn't going to well.  I'm going to have to haul some serious butt (and my butt IS serious) to lose 15 lbs. by September - ish.  I'm still up by 1.4 lbs. My math skills in some of my posts have been wrong but I started at 234 for the Summer 15 challenge and I'm at 235.4 for the day so I'm up by 1.4 I guess. Maybe by next week I'll break even!!
I ate good today! I came in at about 1500 calories and limited the snacking. I had a 130 calorie Nutrigrain bar that I didn't need nor was I hungry for but that's okay. At least I didn't have 3 of them.
