Psyched and Ready To Go!

I'm feeling inspired. Again.

I've caught the Allan bug and his words are blunt and honest and actually made me listen.  Plus, I'm just curious how his numbers are going to add up by the end of the challenge.

I've tried writing my meals down on the blog and soon gave it up. If I am to complete this challenge accurately, I HAVE to write it down. Right?  No estimating or guessing.  So if I am writing it down in my notebook, I might as well document it here. I can't promise this everyday but know that I WILL be tracking everyday in December.  Weighing and measuring everything.

I AM sticking to this goal.  Failure is not an option.

One of the reasons I don't usually post my meals is that they are quite boring.  I often eat the same thing for breakfast everyday and just leftovers for lunch.

Egg beaters + 1 oz. ham + salsa = 125
Yogurt = 100
Salad lettuce + dressing = 120
Chipotle bean burger + 1 tbsp. sour cream = 230
11 oz. V8 = 70
1/3 small banana (1.2 oz) = 30
2 Turkey broccoli wraps = 450
Total calories = 1125
Total water =140 oz.

I was planning to have some baby carrots this evening but ended up going to bed early and didn't need any.  The only time I felt really hungry was before my salad at about noon and right before dinner at 6.  I drank most of my water before 5:30 so hopefully we'll limit the nighttime bathroom visits!  Otherwise, the day went well.

  2. Your food looks great, and your calories are in line. I promise you will lose on Allan's plan. The water is most important.

  4. Debbie, I'm not completely certain of this because I don't know how tall you are and how much you weigh, but I would bet money that you are not eating enough calories. And when you don't eat enough, you won't lose. Your body will think you are in starvation mode and hold onto the stuff you want to burn off! When I was in a weight loss study years ago, they said that women who weighed over 200lbs who wanted to lose weight, needed to get around 1500 calories/day. Women under 200 needed around 1200. Recently, my doctor told me I needed to eat between 1700 and 1900/day to lose weight. I'm 31 yrs old, 5'8" and currently 220lbs so take those numbers into account. Also, I would really recommend you add some healthy fat into your daily diet...about 2tsp of olive oil or something like that. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or need suggestions!

  5. Love love love love love it, Debbi! You go, girl. And maybe you want to not read my food blog for a while (Recipe Rhapsody). I don't plan on posting anything healthy soon and you probably don't need the temptation! I promise I won't be offended, although I will miss your supportive comments. You have to do what you have to do!
