Ok, enough whining.

I feel that's all I've been doing is whining.

I'm busy. (we're all busy)
I like to snack.  (who doesn't)
I'm discouraged. (That's life)
I feel alone.  Uh, I don't. Really I don't.

I so appreciate all my cheerleaders out there. Just the few comments really help.  It's not that my family isn't helping, they just don't get it in the same way.

I need to give a shout out to Jo from Weight On Me at 50 who comments regularly and keeps me motivated. There certainly are others that I love so, so much but Jo just seems to inspire me just when I need it.  Not that I am putting pressure to anyone to comment, I know it's hard.  I have so many that I try to get to but I just can't every day. I love reading all your blogs and others. It truly helps not to feel alone when I read about your struggles, successes, failures and hopes.  I think I've posted something like this before but it needs to be said again. Thank you!

I ate decently today.  I made a super delicious Ethiopian dish today from Lentils and Sweet Potatoes.  I think I'll post it on my recipe blog tomorrow or Saturday.  It was super tasty, super low calorie and super filling.  Super, huh.

  1. That does sound fun! And tasty! I am excited to check out the recipe and good job my good girl! We can do it!!! I hope. lol

  2. Just found your blog through New Friend Fridays. I checked out your Weight Loss and BOY do I relate!!! I went on vacation feeling fanTAStic and riding the success roller-coaster and upon my return started snacking like it was going out of style. Why do we do this to ourselves!! I don't know if you have heard of it, but I live by It's so helpful in my weight loss. I look forward to reading about your journey :)

  3. Aw, thanks, Debbi. But it's a two-way street, and I always appreciate your supportive comments, too.

We're in this together. Whether we want/need to lose 100+ pounds, or that last 10. We share motivation, exercise tips, recipes, and yes, we whine a good bit. But it's all this and more that will get us to our goals.

I think without my blogging friends I probably would have given up. But then I read about their victories, almost binges, NSV's and see how they reach deep inside themselves for that motivation. If they can go on, so can I.

So let's just lean on each other and plan a big celebration for when we get there!!

Thanks again for your kind words.

  4. Stopping by from New Friend Friday. Good luck with your weight-loss. I swear, I gain most of my weight in the summer. Perhaps it's all the ice cream that I eat. Whatever the reason, it's the worst time bc I look like crap in my bathing suit. Grrrr. Oh, yes, and I'm definitely not one of those people who enjoy exercise. Not. At. All.

  5. Girl, I feel you about the whining--not that I'm sick of yours, because really you don't whine IMO, but of my own! I think you read my last whiney blog but of course the pendulum swings both ways and with my own cheerleaders (you being one--thank you!), that helped bring me out of the funk and I had my first weight loss milestone this week--ten pounds total--which helps too. I do understand all the things you mentioned--just as do your other dieting pals--and we are here for you, to listen and encourage. I'm glad that that helps you as much as it does me. And good for you on eating right--can't wait to see that Ethiopian dish--it sounds so different!

  6. Awww Deb.. I have been doing a lot of whining ... I don't feel as though you whine.... Love your blog...
